Description (summary) 2010-09-15 jW a very thin layer of dark soil in the middle of the north baulk line. It was about 1 meter in diameter with an arc into k13. It contained no cultural material. Upon closer inspection, it was determined to be the remains of a small colony of burrowing animals. [Input: U915JW.j]
2010-09-16 jW Soft brown soil in several pockets about a radius of about 1 meter. Upon excavation we found extensive intrusion into the west face of wall, f348. The source was the interlinked burrows of small, social animals. [Input: U917JW.j]
